Life Outside Study: Gardening & Collage Workshop

This activity explores “life outside study” through light creative practice and engagement with nature, considering how international students living in urban environments develop everyday rhythms beyond study through informal spaces and everyday encounters with the natural environment.

The session includes an introduction to common seasonal plants in June and basic seed recognition, along with hands-on planting activities. Participants will engage directly with soil and plant materials, experiencing the rhythm and process of growth through simple, tactile gardening practice.

A collage-making activity is also included as a gentle creative response, using simple materials to reflect on participants’ own experiences of “life outside study” and to express everyday feelings and states through visual form.
